Popular in other countries but rare to find in the United States, I started making winch rope retainers out of mil-spec Cordura Webbing. The function is to keep your last wrap of winch line attached to the drum without relying on the little bolt from the factory that was only intended as a placeholder to begin spooling your winch line.
